1950FromJamesJMaloney.jpg - In 1950 my father, David John Maloney, Sr., had the occasion to write to his father, James Joseph Maloney, asking about his father's middle name, as I recall, along with some other matters that Dad was required to find out in order to obtain some sort of security clearance in the Air Force. The below answer notes, among other things, that his wife, Katherine (with a "K", though her obit has it with a "C") did not use a middle name, that his own middle name was Joseph, and that there is no record of Katherine's birth though she was born in September 1886 in Lansford, PA. (Note that this is a mistake. Katherine was born in 1887 and not in 1886.)
