The Dave & Jane’ Maloney’s not-so-good-quality family videos of Alaska, 1964: family fun, fur rendezvous, earthquake, build Miss Alaska the bus and head south.
Air Force officer Dave Maloney and his wife Jane converted an old school bus into a motorhome while living on Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, AK over the winder of ’63-’64. In June of 1964 they, along with their seven kids and one big dog, after having lived in Alaska for four years (and surviving the Great Alaska Earthquake of ’64) headed for the lower 48 via the dusty yet magnificent ALCAN highway.

1975-1977 David Maloney family movies: The Petaluma Years
Joyce (1950-1977) and Dave live in Petaluma, CA on Bodega Ave. Dave is in the Coast Guard and CO of the CG Communications Station on Pt. Reyes. Joyce is a dental hygienist working in Petaluma. Wilma Bravo lives across the street and is our boys’ adopted grandmother. Dr. Tom Maloney (no relation) and wife Caroline and their hoard of 13 kids live at “Maloneyville” up the street and visit often.
